Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop February

Welcome to the Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop for February, this month's theme is "Technique Savvy", so I hope you are ready for
lot's of great inspiration.

Whether you are starting here or hopped from another blog you are currently visiting Tracy Bish from Australia. I hope you enjoy my card.

The Technique for this card is "Faux Metal". And is so easy to create. I have used the "Wish For It All" bundle and die cut 3 candles in Whisper White Thick card.

This FUN bundle "Wish For It All" can be found in the Annual Catalogue on page 65.

Ink the candle die cuts with Versamark ink, and emboss with Silver Embossing Powder. I have done this twice to create a thicker layer. To create the candle flame a different colour I have inked the candle flame again with Versamark ink and sprinkle with Copper Embossing Powder, heat and melt powder.

The card base is Soft Suede, but I really wanted to break up the colour, so the first matting I have Heat Embossed the edges with Copper Embossing Folder, which gives a great effect and also brings in the whole card.

Wanting to create a special card, with plenty of detail, but also keeping a simple design. Nothing says elegant like the Subtle 3D folder, so I ran it through the Bigshot machine, with a shim ( scrap piece of card ) in the centre. This embosses the card, but not where the shim was sitting. Not sure how well that shows up in the photos's but looks very pretty.Lastly I have embossed the sentiment with Copper Embossing Powder.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card, I would love if you could leave me a comment, for lots more inspiration, please click on the links below, and check out what other techniques you can try!

Have a Wonderful Day!

Tracy x
