Oct Class Class

I have been working on next month's card class, I must admit I am a little excited with these two cards.

I have pulled out Stampin Up's NEW Glossy card stock, and we will be going a technique called Ghosting.

The second card is a Christmas card where we will be using the "Merry Patterns" stamp set that can not be purchased only earned, this is such a great stamp set.

I think you would agree both are nice bright and cheery cards, I love the summery feel to them.

If you live near Dingee Vic, and would love to come and join this class it will be on Monday 9th Oct , 5-7 pm at the Dingee Bush Nursing Centre, cost is $15 which includes everything you need to make these cards. We also have a little supper after. RSVP by Friday 6th Oct.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Paper Saving, Lets Get Hopping Round 1.

Welcome, Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. This is my first blog - hop and I am crossing my fingers it runs smoothly.

We are looking at ways to be thrifty in crafting, and anyone who crafts  knows it can be expensive, but there are some little tips and tricks that can help and keep your expenses down.

My biggest tip is to use your card stock or printed paper from  your  matting, this is hidden behind your focal point, and can be used for your sentiment, embellishments or even used in a later card or scrapbooking page.

In the case of my "Cheers to a New Year" card, I have stamped and punched my sentiment, for the matting, it is hidden behind the lovely  'Year of Cheer" specialty paper, this way I am not wasting card by using another piece.

My second tip is to have a envelope or container to save your off-cuts of paper or card. The next time you need a piece to punch, die, or even a scrap to stamp you are not cutting in to a new piece, I have each of my colours in a different envelope but to start off you could divide your card by colour families.

I hope these little tips are useful to you, thanks again for hopping over to my blog, the next blog is  Tanya Rees.
