Today's card is a simple card using the Painted Petals stamp set from the Mini Catalogue. The "Peaceful Poppies Suite" is such an amazing suite, and so easy to create wonderful cards and projects with.

The Poppy stamp has been heat embossed with Black embossing powder, this makes them pop off the card, and when creating the water colour wash in the background, there is no stress of the image smudging, running or being affected in any way.

Today in Australia and New Zealand it's "Anzac Day". Today is a very Special Day, as it is a national day of Remembrance and commemorates all Austalian's and New Zealander's who served and died in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

As my husband and I are ex military, today has always been a special day, and our family always attends a Dawn Service, which is touching and emotional ( well for me it is anyway, there has been very few services where I haven't shed a tear)
